And for those of you clutching your mugs in panic, fear not! Aside from the name, everything you cherish about the website and the podcast, from the cheeky chats to the savvy city insights, will stay as gloriously unchanged as the guards at Buckingham Palace.

Carnaby Street, known for its spectacular Christmas lights*, has switched on its lights on November 2nd as well. This year’s theme is “Carnaby Universe,” where neon colors and light waves will transform the area into a cosmic wonderland. In support of Choose Love Charity, a pop-up shop will offer limited edition products to aid refugees globally.
Regent Street followed suit on November 9th, where the street once again transformed into a pedestrian paradise filled with stalls, activities, and live performances.

That’s a great question and something I often think about when I travel! For me, carrying cash in London is essential mainly for tipping hotel staff. I firmly believe that everyone is doing their job enhancing your vacation or holiday experience, so yes, they deserve a tip.
When it comes to bellboys, I make it a point to tip them both during check-in and check-out. They play a significant role in the first and last impressions of the hotel, and their efforts in handling luggage and other services shouldn’t go unnoticed.
Housekeeping, on the other hand, takes care of your room every single day of your stay. They ensure that your living space is comfortable, clean, and welcoming, which is crucial for a pleasant hotel experience. Therefore, I always make sure to tip them as well.
